Importing contacts
The following steps help you export contacts from a contact manager into Ribose.
- Open Outlook
- Select “Import and Export” from the File menu
- When the wizard opens, select “Export to a file” and click the “Next” button
- Select “Comma separated values (Windows)” and click the “Next” button
- Select the Contacts folder you would like to export and click the “Next” button
- Choose a filename and a place to save the file (e.g., “Contacts.csv” on the Desktop), then click the “Next” button
- Confirm what you are exporting: make sure the checkbox next to “Export…” is checked and click the “Next” button
- Open Contacts
- Click “Export” on the ribbon
- Select “CSV”
- Click “Browse” and select where to save the file
- Enter file name and click “Save”
- Click “Next”, select all the fields.
- Click “Finish”.
- Open Contacts
- From the Toolbar, select “Export”
- When prompted, select “vCard”
- Select a folder to save the file (e.g., Desktop), click “OK”.
- Open Thunderbird
- On the “Mail Toolbar”, locate the “Address Book”
- Select from the Tools menu “Export…”
- For Format, select “Comma Seperated”
- Choose a filename and a place to save the file (e.g., “contacts” on Desktop), then click the “Save” button.
- Open Contacts or AddressBook
- Select contacts to export
- From the File menu, go to “Export…” to open the submenu and select “Export vCards…”
- Choose a filename and a place to save the file (e.g., “contacts” on Desktop), then click the “Save” button.
